Many social media users have started reacting following a new clip of late Herbert Wigwe 20-bedroom Lagos home worth N30billion that leaks online.
Recall that Herbert Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Bank, tragically died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024, in California, USA.
The crash occurred near Boulder City, Nevada, while he was traveling with his wife, Chizoba Wigwe, their son, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX). Unfortunately, none of the passengers survived.
Recently, 90-year-old father of late Herbert Wigwe takes 26-year-old granddaughter to court over property dispute, a development that left many tongues wagging online.
However, the aerial view clip of Herbert Wigwe’s N30bn newly built Ikoyi was a three-minute tour video of the outside and inside of the 20-bedroom Lagos mansion.
Herbert Wigwe’s Ikoyi mansion sits on 23,000 square meters of land. This is the same land mass the Ikeja City Mall occupies.
When did Herbert Wigwe build this mansion?
According to reports from Craneburg, the engineering firm responsible for constructing the mansion, the project took 22 months to complete.
Herbert Wigwe reportedly moved in late last year, intending for it to be his retirement home, alongside his other luxury properties across Lagos.
Popular Twitter real estate commentator Oke Umurhohwo, also known as Oke Stalyf, estimated that an infrastructure of such scale would cost no less than $15 to $20 million.
According to Oke Stalyf’s estimation, the mansion’s cost in naira would be approximately ₦10.33 billion.
