Nigerian relationship blogger Blessing CEO is now engaged to controversial businessman IVD, leaving many netizens stunned.
Since the controversial couple went public with their relationship, they’ve faced a wave of mixed reactions from Nigerians—while some fans celebrated their union, others heavily criticized it.
Much of the backlash centers on IVD’s past, particularly his marriage to his late wife, Bimbo, the mother of his five children. Their relationship, which reportedly began during his humble beginnings, later turned toxic, marred by frequent physical altercations.
Bimbo died in 2022 after allegedly setting herself on fire during a heated altercation with IVD. His reaction to her death, coupled with Blessing CEO’s involvement in the aftermath, sparked outrage, with many pointing accusing fingers at both of them.
Well, Blessing CEO and IVD have taken a major step in their relationship by getting engaged. The controversial relationship blogger shared the special moment on Instagram, posting a video of IVD getting down on one knee at the beach to propose.
As the couple strolled along the shore, IVD knelt and presented her with a ring, expressing his feelings with heartfelt words. According to him, the love he felt for her was instant. In his words;
“Achalugo, I have loved you from the beginning, from the first moment our eyes met, I knew you were the precious sight my eyes were made to see. Even before my mouth could ask your name, I knew you to be mine.”
In another post, Blessing CEO said; “I SAID YES….. @ivd001 For the first time I did not want drama . For the first time I did not want the noise . I just wanted peace and softness! To hear our heart beat as 1 and hear you breathe into my face . Let’s do this together as we take this journey forever . YES YES YES I WILL MARRY YOU. IKECHUKWU DARRY OGBONNA .”
