Popular music executive and former manager of the defunct music duo P-Square, Jude Okoye, has been released after spending over two months in detention.

A heartwarming video capturing his emotional reunion with his beautiful family has been circulating online.

In the video making the rounds online, the father of two made a surprise appearance at home, an emotional reunion carefully planned by his wife.

In the video, Jude Okoye’s children walk into the living room, unaware their father is waiting. Upon seeing him, they scream with joy and run to hug him. The force of their embrace causes Jude to fall back into a chair, overwhelmed by the emotional reunion.

The touching moment has drawn a wave of support and empathy from fans and colleagues across social media, many of whom praised the strength of family bonds and shared messages of encouragement.

Recall that Jude Okoye, elder brother to Peter and Paul Okoye, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on February 26, 2025. He faced allegations of money laundering involving over N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59, alongside his company, Northside Music Limited.

Initially granted bail set at N100 million, Jude Okoye was unable to meet the conditions and remained in custody. He was later remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility pending his bail hearing on March 3, 2025.

After spending over two months in detention, Jude Okoye was released from EFCC custody on April 24, 2025, upon meeting his bail conditions. His brother, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), announced the release via Instagram, sharing videos of Jude reuniting with his family.
