Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido is one of the most excited man at the moment following the encomium showered on him by famous Nigerian comedian Basketmouth.
When it comes to dishing out amazing humour that matches the vibrant energy of audience members, Basketmouth is clearly at the top, however, a new clip of him showcasing his craft at an event can’t be left without talking about.
At the event, singer Davido was present among other celebrities and dignatories and by extension, Basketmout decided to talk about the big three which include, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
While he was on stage in front of audience members, Basketmouth said that Davido over the years has been more consistent than his rivals, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Defending his point, Basketmouth stressed that when it comes to choosing name, Davido chooses the perfect name and he still bears the same stage name till date unlike his other colleagues Wizkid who has been trying to change his name to Machala,big bird and Burna Boy who has been tryin to change his name to African Giant.
Hailing Davido consistency further, Basketmouth said that over the years till then, Davido is well known for carrying people along such as bring several people on stage and he still does that.
He added that Davido is still known with the same voice as well as the same energy. He stressed that Davido up till date is still called 30BG.
The comedian said that it is not the same with Wizkid who is well knwon for dancing on stage and changed to wearing singlet and started singing “She tell me say”, at this point, Davido who has been controlling his laughter, bursted into laughter.
Moving on, Basketmouth berated himself over his stage name as he disclosed that he does not know why he chooses such name that people are now using to insult people even though his real name is Bright Okpocha.
Basketmouth while on stage noted that the artiste that chooses the right name were Boys to Men as they really sighted the future that they will grow from boys to men.
At the end, Basketmouth said; “I love you, Davido” and Davido replied “I love you too” beaming with smiles on his face and the 30BG boss later stood up to appreciate Basketmouth and the audience.
