Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has shared her heartbreak over the loss of one of her children to cholera, a life-threatening bacterial disease usually spread through contaminated water.
In an emotional post on her Instagram page, the actress and producer revealed that she has been financially supporting three children on her own, but sadly, one of them has passed away due to cholera.
She remembered meeting the deceased child, Olamide, when he was in Primary 4. He was expected to start JS3 after the summer break before his untimely death.
Jegede mentioned that the other two children, one of whom is Olamide’s sister, graduated from secondary school the previous day. She expressed that, despite not having all the wealth in the world, these moments make her life complete. Since 2019, she has managed to provide for them with God’s help, even though she doesn’t always know how.
“I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in primary 4, and he was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy that 2 of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through.
“Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda.
