Big Brother Naija season 9 housemates Nelly and Anita, who are collectively known as Nelita, has won the Head of House challenge in the second consecutive time.
Today, August 19th, the pair secured the top spot through a challenge, thereby beating the Mbadiwe twins and Chekas to the title. They outperformed their fellow housemates by finishing the fastest with 1:52 seconds.
Starting from this week, the HOH title came with the added benefit of immunity from eviction. Their victory came after the organizers cancelled the custodian challenge during the Sunday double eviction show.
In previous weeks, winning the HOH challenge didn’t automatically grant immunity. The winners had to compete in the custodian challenge to avoid eviction.
But in this case, Nelita pair are free from getting evicted this week. As the HOH for the week, Nelita selected Aces (Sooj and Topher) as their special guests to enjoy the grace.
This decision grants the Aces pair immunity from nomination and access to the luxurious HOH lounge, among other benefits.
Last week, Nelita picked Chekas as their guest, surprising fans who thought they would choose Aces instead.
