Verydarkman Expresses Anger Over Apology Video By Cab Driver Following Reported Assault

Nigerian social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman, has voiced his frustration over the recent conflict between Stephen Abuwatseya and Alex Ikwechegh, a member of the House of Representatives for ABA North/South in Abia State.

Stephen Abuwatseya, who works as an e-hailing driver, has apologized to Ikwechegh for attacking him during a delivery dispute.

In a video released to the media on Thursday, Abuwatseya expressed regret for his actions and sought forgiveness from Nigerians, urging everyone to move on from the incident.

On October 28, Ikwechegh assaulted a Bolt driver delivering a package to him. A video that went viral, recorded by Abuwatseya, showed the incident at Ikwechegh’s mansion in Maitama, Abuja.

In the video, the furious congressman was seen hitting and yelling at the driver after the driver asked him to step outside for a delivery of snails.

Following the altercation, Ikwechegh made a public apology, admitting his wrongdoing and showing regret for his actions during the event.

Verydarkman has been actively involved in helping Stephen Abuwatseya get justice and proper compensation.

He recently shared a video explaining how he and his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, worked hard to hold Alex Ikwechegh accountable for his actions.

VDM mentioned that Alex and his friends reached out to them to settle the issue with the driver after it gained attention online.

Verydarkman suggested a compensation of N20 million and a car, but the Honorable recommended lowering it to N5 million and a car.

The TikToker claimed the driver was trying to build a relationship with the important person without telling them.

He showed his disappointment with the new apology, thinking it was made under pressure.

He mentioned that Stephen Abuwatseya went against those who supported him during the conflict.
