BBNaija star and comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has sparked controversy by targeting Nigerian music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, in a fiery Facebook rant.
Deeone criticized the Mavin Records boss, accusing him of neglecting his roots while spending millions on public charity.
This comes after Don Jazzy recently warmed hearts nationwide with a significant donation to Verydarkman’s NGO, supporting education for underprivileged children. Additionally, he transferred personal funds directly to the activist’s private account, further cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most generous figures.
However, Deeone didn’t view Don Jazzy’s generosity as praiseworthy. Instead, he seized the opportunity for a stinging critique. On Facebook, Deeone accused the music mogul of neglecting his family home while lavishing millions on public philanthropy.
To back his claims, Deeone shared a video allegedly depicting Don Jazzy’s family house, which he described as neglected and abandoned—a stark contrast to the superstar’s public acts of generosity.
The comedian acknowledged the value of charity but insisted that Don Jazzy’s efforts should begin closer to home. “Charity begins at home,” Deeone remarked, suggesting that even a fraction of Don Jazzy’s N100 million donation could have been used to refurbish the alleged family property.
Deeone argued that addressing the state of Don Jazzy’s alleged family home would go beyond mere renovation—it could serve as a beacon of inspiration for young entertainers, a proud reminder of an industry icon staying connected to his roots.
