According to ‘Corriere’, negotiations are now underway between Manchester City and Lazio for a summer loan deal for Claudio Echeverri, who was reportedly in Rome earlier this week.
Claudio Echeverri landed at the Etihad Stadium to begin his journey at Manchester City less than a month ago, but the Argentine talent seems to be already on his way out, as reports from Italy inform that he could be joining Lazio.
According to ‘Corriere’, negotiations are now underway between the Premier League side and the Serie A one over a loan move in the summer transfer window for Echeverri, who was reportedly in Rome earlier this week.
It is understood that City head coach Pep Guardiola does not see the 19-year-old in his plans for the upcoming season. Nevertheless, having penned a contract until 2028, Echeverri still has time to leave his mark in the Catalans’ squad.
But as things stand, joining the ‘Biancoecelesti’ could be the player’s best solution to see minutes on the pitch. The Sky Blues signed Echeverri in June 2024, splashing 14.5 million euros to secure one of River Plate‘s prodigies dazzling in the Argentinian league.
