As regards the ongoing 2024 governorship election in Edo State, Davido and Jubril Gawat, an aide to Lagos Governor Sanwo Olu made headlines as they dragged and exposed each other.
Recall that Davido, a member of PDP who is supporting governorship candidate Ighodalo to win stressed that he is much more interested in the state Governorship election because his late mother was from the state.
After criticizing the police for telling voters to go home after casting their ballots, Davido also slammed INEC, claiming that the commission is the most dangerous institution in Nigeria.
Davido tweeted; “The most dangerous institution in Nigeria @inecnigeria …”
He added; “Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024”
However, the tweet about INEC being a dangerous institution did not go down well with the Lagos State Governor’s aide as he stressed that if the election conducted by INEC is not incredible, then the singer’s uncle is not credibly elected.
Jubril Gawat wrote; “This tweet means ONLY one thing ….”
