Gospel Singer Sola Allyson Slams Women Who Depend Financially On Their Boyfriends

Nigerian gospel singer Sola Allyson has sparked discussions after criticizing women who frequently demand financial support from their partners in relationships.

In a recently shared video, the Eji Owuro singer addressed the issue, emphasizing that women should not always expect monetary gifts from their boyfriends.

A snippet from the viral clip shows Allyson recalling her past experiences, including a relationship with a wealthy boyfriend who often tried to give her money. However, she revealed that she consistently refused to accept financial support from him.

The Ebe crooner further explained that on occasions when she needed money, she would only take the exact amount required. If he offered more, she would return the extra, reinforcing her stance on financial independence in relationships.

In her words:

“You start dating someone today, next tomorrow your phone has spoiled. During my generation, anyway I don’t know but as for me, if you even want to give me money, I won’t collect it. I was once in a relationship where my boyfriend was very rich. When he wants to give me money, I won’t collect it. On the days when I need money, if it’s N500 I need and he gives me N5000, I will remove the N500 and give him his N4500 back.”
