Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido has started making headlines following a new video of him prostrating for hundreds of elders at an event.
Despite being wealthy and his huge fame across the world, Davido, the “Unavailable” hitmaker has never joke with the tradition before as a bonafide Yoruba man.
In the new clip at a burial event in Osun State, Davido captured the hearts of many with the way he shows utmost respect to elders at the wedding one after the other.
This follows a video that surfaced online showing Davido leading by example as he generously sprayed bundles of naira at Fuji maestro Malaika.
While at the final burial ceremony of Alhaja Akinleye, mother of the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Davido was seen prostrating to all the elders one after the other effortlessly.
Part of the video shows the moment the singer also removes the cap on his head while greeting the elders. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and the singer’s father Adedeji Adeleke were among the elders that Davido greeted at the event.
A voice in the background could be heard hailing Davido as he greets his elders. The man in the background while showering encomium on Davido says; “OBO. OBO oriade baba imade, obo obo oriade baba imade.”
The part that also gets many people talking is the moment Davido greets Governor Ademola Adeleke who sits next to the singer’s father. Many stressed that the love between Davido and the Osun Governor is second to none just like that of father to son.
