Arsenal full-back Myles Lewis-Skelly said on Wednesday it was an “unbelievable” night after his side eliminated Real Madrid in the Champions League with victory in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, which he said looks “very different” live.
Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germanin in the semi-finals of Europe’s top competition after eliminating holders Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.
“It’s been unbelievable,” the England full-back told “TNT Sports”. “When you see the Bernabeu on TV, it’s completely different to experiencing it here in person. The fans haven’t made it easy for us, but we knew that if we stuck together and helped each other, it would be OK,” he said.
The Gunners won the first leg 3-0 and, despite the threat of a comeback at the Bernabeu, they ran out 2-1 winners and booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 16 years.
