Mixed reactions as UK-based Nigerian man replaces shoes and wristwatch Kemi Badenoch claimed police stole from her brother (Video)

James Akinwande, a Nigerian man living in the United Kingdom (UK), has purchased a new pair of shoes and a wristwatch to replace those allegedly stolen from Kemi Badenoch’s brother by officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

Kemi Badenoch, leader of UK’s conservative party, recently shared her terrible experiences as she revealed that Nigeria is a poor country. She narrated how some police officers pilfered her brother’s shoes and wristwatch.

Although she did not specify the year the incident occurred in Nigeria, she continues to criticize the country at every given opportunity.

Badenoch has faced backlash from some Nigerians, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, for “repeatedly disparaging” her home country. It is worth knowing that Kemi Badenoch was born Olukemi Adegoke to Nigerian Yoruba parents in the UK. Her last name changed after she married a Scottish banker.

However, in response to Badenoch’s comment on the alleged theft, Akinwande shared a video wherein he entered a shop in the UK and bought a pair of shoes and a wristwatch.

In the video, Akinwande took the new items to the UK Conservative Party headquarters to present them to Badenoch. At the pedestrian gate, Akinwande met the security personnel and handed over the items with the view of giving them to the Tory leader.

At the end of the video, the UK-based Nigerian man wrote, “On behalf of every proud Nigerian who felt genuinely hurt by those unfounded disparaging remarks about The Nigerian Police. We “buy back” the stolen shoes and watch! (I hope it fits, tho..).”
