Grammy Award winner Temilade Openiyi professionally known as Tems is undoubtedly a lover of sport as a video showing her serious reaction to her MLS club San Diego FC playing against St. Louis cannot be left without talking about.
This is coming after she and her colleague Oyinkansola Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr were at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal suffer demoralising defeat to West Ham.
Recall that Tems has become a co-owner of Major League Soccer’s San Diego FC. Through her company, The Leading Vibe, she joined the club’s ownership group as a club partner ahead of their 2025 debut season. Tems joins a diverse ownership group that includes actress Issa Rae, World Cup-winning footballer Juan Mata, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, and San Diego Padres All-Star Manny Machado
San Diego FC made its MLS debut on February 23, 2025, securing a 2-0 victory against the LA Galaxy. The club’s inaugural home match took place on March 1, 2025, resulting in a 0-0 draw against St. Louis City SC at Snapdragon Stadium.
However, during the San Diego FC match against St. Louis City SC, singer Tems was present as she could be seen supporting her team so hard from the fans.
However, a fan of the singer could be seen recording Tems who is in an unaware state. Tems in the clip could be seen in s standing position screaming on the top of her voice, placing her hands on the head like someone who engaged in a Sporty Bet among others.
While displaying her passionate support for her MLS club in the USA, Tems later found out that her friend was recording her, as she could heard jokingly going hard on her, Tems said; “Are you videoing me, what was that?”
