“They have lowkey issues” – Social media erupts with fresh claims of rift between Olamide and Asake (Video)

Nigeria’s iconic rapper and music mogul, Olamide, and his protégé, YBNL’s golden star Asake, have become the subjects of intense speculation, as rumors of a rift between them fuel widespread discussions both online and offline.

On Monday, December 23, Olamide hosted his legendary Olamide Live In Concert (OLIC) at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was a grand celebration of Olamide’s unparalleled legacy. The Baddo crooner captivated the audience with electrifying performances of his timeless hits, including Melo Melo, Fada Fada, and Omo Abule Sowo.

Present at the Olamide concert were Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Ooni of Ife, Phyno, Omah Lay, Zlatan Ibile, Chinko Ekun, Yhemolee, Kogbagidi, Pheelz, Ckay, Harrysong, Fireboy DML,Peruzzi, Reminisce and others.

But amidst the glitz and glamour, a shadow loomed over the event—the conspicuous absence of Asake, YBNL’s brightest star and widely regarded as Olamide’s greatest accomplishment in recent years. Asake’s no-show left fans shocked and sparked intense speculation.

Adding fuel to the fire, renowned music critic Olu Mayor shared a viral video that has since ignited social media. In his scathing commentary, Olu Mayor questioned how Asake, of all people, could miss such a significant night dedicated to celebrating his mentor.
