Popular Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe, whose real name is Adebimpe Oyebade, has taken her time to celebrate her husband and actor Lateef Adedimeji’s hardwork and dedication across the Nigerian movie industry.
This celebration took place after Lateef Adedimeji released his blockbuster Yoruba epic movie ‘Lisabi: the uprising‘ on the well-known movie streaming platform, Netflix.
‘Lisabi’ has been a huge success as it topped the Netflix film chart in Nigeria since its airing on September 27. Directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, the movie tells a gripping story of a legendary hunter Lisabi Akala, an Egba warrior who led a successful revolt against the oppressive rule of the Oyo Empire.
Mobimpe organized a surprise party for Lateef Adedimeji, showing her support for his career and celebrating his latest achievement. The surprise party, which took place in the presence of close friends and family members, was a beautiful and intimate affair.
A video of the event surfaced online, capturing the moment Lateef walked into the room, visibly shocked and touched by the grand gesture. His wife, Mobimpe, welcomed him with a big smile, and the room erupted in applause.
Lateef Adedimeji was serenaded by a group of people and received heartfelt eulogies. His colleagues, Eniola Ajao and Juliana Olayode, who attended the event, spoke glowingly of him, showering him with praise.
The actor became emotional and broke down into tears, overwhelmed by the unexpected surprise.
In the video, his wife Mo Bimpe commended Lateef for his hard work as she presented a bouquet of rose flower to him. In her words, “You work hard, we all see you, so take your flowers.”
