A video of packing out the portrait and personal belongings of Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, from the office of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has sparked widespread reactions.
In the video shared on social media, MC Oluomo’s portrait was carefully removed from the union’s headquarters barely one week after he was appointed as the National president.
It can be recalled that the Court of Appeal recently sacked MC Oluomo and affirmed his opponent Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the new NURTW national president. MC Oluomo was ordered to pay sum of N100k for damage to Alhaji Baruwa and his supporters.
On Tuesday, November 19, Southwest Zonal Chairman of NURTW, Lekan Salami revealed that MC Oluomo is no longer a member of the union since 2022 when he publicly tore his union identity card after receiving a disciplinary query from the national leadership.
In a recent development, his belongings were removed from the Abuja office, and he has been directed to return to his personal residence. An 18-passenger vehicle was spotted parked with his items.
